People are not sitting at home, caged killers, pouting because they don't have the tools for a mass shooting.

Most people simply aren't murderers and will not become them regardless of what kind of gun you give them.

You could buy Tommy guns with 100-round magazines through mail order in the 1920s; people were not going "Yes, finally I can go on shooting rampage!" and filling out order forms.

The problem is that when you look around, you realize that pretty much every gun owner has a gun and enough ammo for a "mass shooting event". It could be a revolver with a couple of reloads, or a pump shotgun with a dozen extra rounds. All that's lacking is the will for somebody to do it at the local little league game or Starbucks or McDonald's.

you have to realize that the will to do that is virtually non-existent, MSM reporting to the contrary.

When your roommate doesn't feed them.

And they didn't even have a gun, much less magazines.

There might have been newspaper, though.

3. Guns embolden people. Zimmerman would never have gotten out of his car without a gun.

Martin would still be alive and Zimmy would still be patrolling.

I can see some people needing a gun sometimes. But allowing almost anyone - even right wing yahoos - to carry any time, almost anywhere, contributes to changing the movie experience for most and pollutes our society in many ways.

Even those who carry guns to a movie, will be sitting on ready to shoot the next guy playing "extreme gun nut. " So rest of us can watch for the next Holmes and a significant number of cowboys around us.

Thank you NRA and gun culture everywhere. Enjoy your guns.

experience will change for a lot of people. And, those with guns in their pants will sit there in a movie ready to blast away if anyone tries anything.

Does that help? Do I have to explain the last sentence?

4. NRA should show how smart they are and how gun safety is important.

The experts needs to come up with a solution, maybe it is purchasing liability insurance and continue for yearly license. A national data base should be established when purchasing ammo and large magazines illegal. No more late in life abortions.

Guns with high capacity magazines kill many people,

But hands, fists, feet, etc., kill more than twice many people.

That's just depressing.

Unless there are a lot of rifles in that "unknown firearms." Then again, "rifles" also includes, well, hunting accidents and sniper incidents.

Guns are designed specifically to kill.
Yes, people are most often the ones
using the guns, but these guns are
the killing machines.

As far as the right to kill goes, that
is, to kill with guns, I'd bet that most
gun owners are so-called "pro life."

There is serious psychosis or psychic
disconnect here.
