How much do you think the GOP would love getting rid of the requirement for a SOTU? Reducing government itself and doing away with transparency is their dream.

I want the story to be about Trump's bad ideas and poor performance, and especially Joe Kennedy's response. Overshadowing those things with a petty shout might satisfy a few people, but it would thwart a good opportunity to show that Democrats are superior at governing, and have better ideas.

And even at that, Democrats are still demonized, since the right- wing narrative has them running the “Deep State.” Democrats are the snowflakes, the pushovers, the silent, enabling parents who clean up the house after their adolescent kids have trashed the place.

Not that long ago, I would have agreed— keep it clean, fight fair, be classy, take the high road. But when you’re facing Atilla the Hun, the high road isn’t even an effective escape route.

Then, on the other side, it could be a solid color, so when they flip them over and all hold them up together, it would spell out "YOU LIE!" in real big letters. You know, like they do at football games to spell out "GO TEAM!" or "RAH! RAH!" or "I CAN'T SEE THE GAME WITH THIS DAMNED POSTER IN MY FACE!".

They could try starting a wave, but the other half of the crowd probably wouldn't join in.

On a positive note, maybe he'll use the occasion to announce his resignation. Or at least maybe a new Rump-branded product.

There are many opportunities to make him look like an ass, but in the end, he'll manage to do that all by himself.
