Sen Patrick Leahy is cleverly wording his questions to try to avoid deflection and she keeps sidestepping. He asked if Trump used the term (shithole) or anything similar. She said that she did not hear that word used.

Leahy again asked, "or similar." She said that Trump used "tough words" like other Congressmen in the room.

Leahy asks if she would consider that "tough words" mean vulgar words. She tried to deflect, but at the end she slips in, "yes, sir."

So, there was a lot of vulgar words used during this meeting. "shithole," may be the most sanitary, for all we know.

"Tough language" is a dog whistle for racist language that is acceptable to Trump's base. They know that they would lose credibility with the rest of us if we connect the dots. We can't let them get away with a euphemism.
