I believe that Trump entire modus operandi is nothing more than compensation for an unfulfilled life

His gluttony, vanity, braggadocio, his laziness, his unwillingness to admit fault or ever being wrong, his complete lack of self-awareness... These are all signs of a man who has lived his entire life as a flawed individual. Someone who is still underdeveloped, even as a 71 year old man. But, he's one who has been never been held to account for anything and is a person who is completely ill-equipped to handle the job of "Most Powerful Office In The World."

Needless to say, with this utterly unfit person, singularly holding the keys to the kingdom, we are all in a world of hurt right now.

But what kind of fool is this? It seems pretty obvious, doesn't it?

He strikes me as the least self-actualized person I've ever seen in my entire life. His biggest fear is that he would be discovered as a fraud. He's unable to create real achievements for himself, so he claims the work of others. He's jealous of everyone else, especially people who are loved or admired and who have their own achievements in their own lives.

So, what does he tell us? That his inauguration was the biggest ever. That he's signed more bills into law than any other president. That he hires the best and the brightest. That he's going to go down in history as the best president ever. Absolutely none of this nonsense is true, of course, but you can't tell him any different. Simply because it appears as if he lacks the capacity to recognize whether or not any of his own basic needs have been met, much less anything greater.

Thus he ends up looking as if he's the poorest winner walking the Earth.

Trump is clearly hovering somewhere between the Diet
Coke and Cheeseburger stage and the Chimichanga stage.

The most troubling aspect of this man is that behaves as if he doesn't understand the fact that he won the Electoral College. He can't or won't understand the responsibilities of the office he's holding. He acts if he's still competing with people who have already left the field after he was handed the winner's trophy. I wonder if he knows where he is from moment-to-moment. He's looking more and more senile by the day.

Now, with his apparent onset of degenerative brain disease, his compensatory narcissism, prejudices, fears and self-hatred are coming to the forefront. He's steadily losing his capacity for impulse control. Frankly, it's hard to tell if he believes any of the lies that he tells, which means that he could be losing his tenuous grip on reality.

The jig is up.

The world is paying attention to this train wreck of an individual. The Republicans are finding it harder and harder to justify his behavior and job performance. They can't always depend on him to rubber-stamp their agenda.

I'm sure that those in office who will try to remain, rather than jump ship, are now figuring out what to do with him. Whether it be to allow the Mueller investigation to produce the impetus for his premature removal from office, or to simply abandon him and let nature take its course through his own self-destruction.

Republicans who lend more than a lukewarm defense of Trump are pretty much the worst of the worse. They're opportunists who are trying to line their own pockets in the end by taking advantage of a compromised presidency. Others are nothing more than cult followers, who will defend him no matter the he says or does. The rest of the party would rather be somewhere else whenever Trump's name comes up to them.

It quite clear that the most pressing job for the Democratic Party right now is to do what it can to save our republic. The Republicans can't be trusted to put the country before themselves. Many of them today are abandoning their own basic party principles for the sake of an electoral majority. Thus, it's up to the electorate to recognize this pressing problem and relieve the Republicans of their responsibility to lead and govern. The GOP is too corrupt and incompetent right now to be left in that authoritative position. Too much is a stake.

We are in a crisis right now, a mortal one. The nation hasn't been in this kind of mortal jeopardy in several generations. We have a lot of hard work to do to regain our true national identity, our integrity and our moral authority. We have to go beyond getting Trump out of the Oval Office, we have to take the national lead out of this mess. Otherwise, we will end up with a failed state status and end up making Trump's America our very own "shithole country."

I don't think that "Normay" would want too many of our people trying to immigrate there. Let's do better at home and it all starts in November.

Happy MLK Day, everybody.

He looks like he has FAS features in his face. That or even slightly Down's Syndrome. Something is wrong with him.

9. I agree.

He looks like he may be a Down's patient. Maybe borderline, but definitely there. His mental capabilities are not too sharp, his impulse control is lacking. The damage he and his gop partners have done in one short year will take many, many years to undo.

instead of "Norway" comes from. Glad to see you are back for the great battle of 2018 this fall.

shithole had "consensual" on the brain?

snip//

"Trump's Twitter included writing the word "consensual" -- instead of "consequential" -- in a series of tweets quoting conservative columnist Michael Goodwin. It was later deleted and corrected."

"Normay"

Yes! I took a 5 month vacay and now I'm back for the extremely important 2018 Elections. They better be fair.. no fucking Russian interference.

Excellent post. Clearly the man is underdeveloped in every way. He has never matured in any way other than physically. Basically he is a person with infantile needs in the body of a 71 year old man. It is acceptable in an infant, it is repulsive in an old man. I long for the day when this wreck of a human being no longer plagues this country. He has exhausted all of us.

are not inclined to confront the reality that the man they voted for is mentally unraveling before the eyes of the world. Give it time and a few more may drop support but remember there were some who went into the bunker with Hitler as the Russian tanks closed in, knowing but not believing that it was done.

10. Years back I worked with someone like Trump.

He was about 40, a loudmouth immature whiner. He constantly said things like “I could play in the NBA” And “l could golf better than Tiger Woods”. One waited for the punchline but there wasn’t one, he really believed that stuff. On Monday morning he would come in to the office and brag about how fast he drove his car, how many men he beat up, and how many women he had over the weekend, all of which was made up. If he failed, well, really he won. If he failed so badly that he could not make that claim, then the system was stacked against him. No claim was too ridiculous to make.
I was initially hired to be his rival for the next promotion (the job required a Professional Engineer, which I was, and he could not pass the PE test in years of trying). This was not a good situation for me, him making my life miserable, and after five years I left. He was eventually fired and escorted from the building by security after 15 years of working there. Seems he had been taking bribes and also watching porn on his office computer, among other things. His wife left him for her boss (ouch) and he moved to another state to be with a woman he met online.

How the proper people found out about his misdeeds, I’ll never know.......

Anyhoo, when Trump started to act so erratically, I turned to my wife and said “See that? That’s exactly what working with R——- was like!

low energy, crooked, lying, little, crazy etc
But the biggest reveal was the other day when he referred to Haiti & Africa as countries in the most disgusting way - THAT is what Trumpy knows that deep down inside he really is, and we all know it too.

17. I have a bit of a different take on this.

My opinion is that the only way to get anything out of life is by giving. Material things and happiness are fleeting. True joy comes from giving.

I think back to Obama's presidency and all of the activities that Barack and Michele had with Sasha and Malia. I haven't seen Donald Trump do anything with Barron since he's become president. Even taking him golfing with him would seem like a no brainer to me.

Trump is certainly an unhappy person who lets his ego run his life which only leads to his being unfulfilled in life. Trump has no riches.

20. Good post

Yes, the cornerstone of understanding Trump is the inherited wealth. If he were born middle class, and having to go to a regular college and get a regular job, his personality disorders would have caused him great difficulty. He would have had a boss, he would have had to perform a job. Women would probably not want to be around him, since he would have had little to offer. Faced with this, he would have had to confront his shortcomings and acknowledge his failings. With luck, he could have become some mid level manager if he changed his ways. But none of that is true. He never had a job, he always had money or access to dad's, and women always came to him because of his fame and wealth. So he never had to change one bit. He's the same immature asshole he has always been, and he will never change. If we are lucky we as a country can flush him down the toilet of history, like a bad taco that needs to work it's way out of the ass and down the sewer.

There are a lot of horrible people in the world but how did one that horrible get to be president? And why do so many of our fellow citizens seem to regard his weapons-grade awfulness as a feature, not a bug?

Seems to me like Trump is a narcissist psychopath who, because of dementia, can no longer mask his true self like he could in his younger days. He was always an evil bastard, he just hid it a bit better before.

He has certainly deteriorated in the past year. He's gained weight, appears bloated, and his eyes are dead, without a single spark of light. He's incapable of removing himself from the White House and both the 25th Amendment and Impeachment will take too long. An intervention by family members - maybe Ivanka, his sister, Mylania, or a group of Republicans ... someone he respects or to whom he will listen; unfortunately, I don't know if that person exists.

37. He's a

sociopath. I have a younger sister whose a sociopath so I can recognize the symptoms. Sociopaths have zero empathy for others but are very manipulative. They see life as a game of winning and losing. They also need enemies to play the game and these enemies can change throughout the course of their life. This is pretty much how Trump operates and it's why he's obsessed at undoing every thing Obama did. Every time he undoes an accomplishment of Obama it is viewed as a win in his eyes. Anytime he loses to Obama in some imaginable way he goes crazy. For example when he started going nuts about how his inauguration crowd was supposedly bigger than Obama when it wasn't. That was Trump going crazy because he couldn't handle a loss in his mind to Obama.

We have a crazy sociopath in charge. That's all you have to know to understand about Trump. If you want to understand Trump go read the book "The Sociopath Next Door."
