The four states to watch in 2018

Finally, turning to this year’s midterm races, the NBC Political Unit has identified what we consider the four most important states to watch in 2018:

Arizona: Competitive Senate contest that could decide control of the chamber; emerging presidential battleground state; a couple of competitive House races (AZ-1, AZ-2); large Latino population.

Florida: Competitive gubernatorial race (both in the primaries and general) and whoever wins could be a national star; likely competitive Senate race; huge 2020 battleground; and a handful of must-watch House races (FL-27, FL-26, FL-18).

Ohio: Competitive gubernatorial race (both in the primaries and general) and whoever wins could be a national star; likely competitive Senate; huge 2020 battleground.

California: As many as NINE competitive House races (CA-7, CA-39, CA-49, CA-25, CA-48, CA-10, CA-45, CA-21, CA-50). If Democrats win six or more of these districts, they’re likely going to win back control of the House.

2. I Disagree About The Inclusion Of Ohio

The Senate race is not going to be competitive at all. Sherrod Brown is going to roll this fool he's running against. Now that Josh Mandel (who got his clock cleaned by Brown 6 years ago) has dropped out, he's been replaced by a rank moron who has openly admitted his ONLY goal is to advance the Trump agenda. Talk about NOT being able to read the tea leaves. Brown cruises to a win in this one without even breaking a sweat.

Also, I don't believe that the Governor's race will be all that competitive either. Richard Cordray is a star, and his first decision (his running mate) was a shot out of the park. He also happens to be running against a worm, Mike DeWine, who's a career politician who has consistently buddied up with the worst the Republican Party had to offer. I do agree that Cordray might be able to parlay a big win into a future run for even higher office, so it will be interesting to follow this one.

As for all the other races around the State, those could make for interesting viewing, but the "blue wave" is just as big here in Ohio as it is everywhere else, so I'm looking for a showing much like we had in 2008, when Democrats were winning pretty much everything. The big anchor around all of their ankles, though, is the Ohio Democratic Party, which is pretty much worthless when it comes to finding quality candidates and then SUPPORTING them with what they need in order to win.

4. WE MUST GOTV!!!!!

DO NOT GET OVERLY CONFIDENT with the "blue wave". That will be our downfall as a COUNTRY! We have to fight 24/7 to get everyone to VOTE. The GOP and Russians are our enemies. They are smart, have unlimited money, media propaganda Fux Ruse, and experience in stealing elections through any and all means available (legal and illegal). This is war and they are the enemy. We have to take any road available to win (high or low). NO MORE BUTTER KNIVES TO A GUN FIGHT!
