create their own 'reality,' and capture enough attention (of darn media as well as faux) to continue spreading their b.s. They're VERY good at it, and unfortunately progressives/liberals/Dems haven't come up with successful counter-punches.

"American voters suspect a political Grinch behind the so-called war on Christmas."

The call for more people to say, "Merry Christmas," instead of "Happy Holidays" is an issue "made up for political purposes" rather than a real issue, American voters say 76 - 19 percent. No listed group believes this is a real issue.

20. Bill O'Reilly and Todd Starnes still believe it to be real, and constantly preach it.

Bill O'Reilly is no longer employed, (in fact he can't find a job!) so he's been neutralized.

But Todd Starnes is still a semi-regular on Faux "news," and they happily let him spout to his heart's content.

The modern "war on Christmas" really took shape when manufactures and merchants began the "gifts! gifts! gifts!" obsession, and was crystallized by the "Dearborn Independent," Henry Ford's newspaper that had the "war on Christmas" as a big part of the plot by "The International Jew." (Their words, not mine.)

to research a story that took place in Rhode Island in 1895 and 1896. It's fascinating, because a lot of the things we think are recent issues were being argued about then - anti-vaxxers, prayer in schools, stuff like that. Anyway, the December 1895 issues are chock full of ads for Holiday sales, stories about Holiday parties, announcements for Holiday events, etc. And when an ad or a headline does refer to Christmas specifically, it's almost always abbreviated Xmas.

Happy Holidays to you!

They wouldn't have used it, if the readers complained about the papers being anti-Christian.
