but never found out exactly when. Our skies may be fairly clear for a change too, after last night's tornado warnings and sightings here in N. Alabama.

Friday will be cloudy here and maybe Saturday will be clearer. We have had tornado activity around here too. We have a basement, but those sirens wailing is still scary. Stay safe.

at a local watering hole on a Saturday night. It was January and really cold out, and I must have missed the news that the aurora borealis was making an appearance in our neck of the woods (SW Ohio). After my initial shock I pulled over and enjoyed the show for a few moments. Good to see it's making a return appearance, if the weather cooperates. This past week here it's been like living in a car wash.

We are going to Yellow Knife at 4 degrees latitude in Canada in November because I really really want to see the Northern Lights. But I told my husband we can cancel if SW Ohio lights up this weekend.

There are going to be a lot of disappointed Alabamans the next morning when they wake up and realize they weren't Raptured.
