Count on Trump to use attorney incompetence in his appeal. He will say that, since the judge had to object on occasions when his own attorneys did not, that he did not have competent representation.

I am 100% sure that the Orange Turd insisted that his attorney open with a complete denial of ever having sex with Daniels. Trump's reasoning would be, "No sex, therefore no hush money payment and no juggling of the books." He thought that the denial of sex would nullify the charges completely.

His lawyers would probably have known that the denial would mean testimony from Daniels to refute it. He expected that his attorney would be able to embarrass and denigrate her like his attorneys who went after Fani. But it backfired and made the Orange Turd look bad, not Stormy.

But, as with everyone else in every other field, the OT knows more about legal strategy and the law than lawyers do, right?

And then will use their incompetence as a reason to appeal.

Trump's lying, harassment and threatening behavior has been a successful strategy in the past.
But not working so well this time.

my opinion, the lawyers are the stupid ones for following his advice and lead. Dump is an orange turd with NO legal training. Any lawyer who does what the Turd tells them is worthless. in my view.

They are supposed to be seasoned and excellent attorneys.
We could do the job better than they could.
At the very least we wouldn't piss off the judge every hour of every day.

Yes the prosecution is excellent.

But the judge in this case has to keep admonishing the Trump attorneys.
In some cases he even has to step in and do their jobs for them.

And a witness with a high school education and no legal training can make mincemeat
out of Trump's attorneys.

The Trump attorneys are bad, very bad.

More past practice -- which has not helped them with THIS client in THIS case.

Which makes THIS trial all the more a joy to behold, because Blanche will lead tsf's next case as a beaten lawyer before the Smith team.

I guess it occurred to me because way back in the late 80s, my divorce lawyer required that I sign some sort of waiver, promising not to ever sue him for not making the maximum demands he thought I was entitled to.

as he did when sent to a military a academy by his parents when they could no longer handle him. Two Washington Post reporters wrote a book on Trump's background during the 2016 campaign. I don't remember the book's title now or the names of the authors. But I do remember that their research included interviews with people who had known him at various stages in his life, including former classmates and former neighbors of his family in Queens.

Trump's parents sent him to a military academy after he had been picked up by police more than once as a teen while hanging out with a group of thugs in Manhattan. People who knew him at the school said that he learned the discipline rules very well in order to present an image of compliance while using his knowledge of the rules to circumvent them as often as possible .

That's his approach to law.

I believe the book is "Trump Revealed" by Michael Kranish and Marc Fisher. The Washington Post has made public the documents driving the reporting, including interviews.

Big difference with just having only a transcript.

But a transcript is much better than the synopsis MSNBC provides in the side panel.
