But it will make them feel better about themselves and their privileged white kid righteousness.

immunocompromised. The university would love them to be further weakened because they can't say no to unjust murder. It is her birthday but she would rather be standing in solidarity than doing anything else.

I don't know if on a hunger strike or they imagine the university is trying to starve them or something. In my opinion, she's practically crying because she can't have birthday cake.

across the community and is therefore rare.

In 2014, faculty members submitted a petition for divestment but there was a counter-petition from students "rejecting efforts -- such as boycott, divestments, or sanctions campaigns -- that aim to demonize or assign absolute blame to either Israelis or Palestinians as they are counterproductive and drive the parties further away from compromise." Then the Center for Jewish Life submitted it's objection to divestment signed by faculty, parents and alumni.

Protesters whined about mean adults saying "process" to them and don't seem to understand.

University said that if rules and laws are broken, such as occupying a building, there has to be accountability. Of course.

Protesters are painting themselves into a corner. And the urgency, the hunger strikes -- as if a long slow process of divestment will make a bit of difference? It doesn't seem productive to me.

And the whining! I'd never show weakness like that if I wanted to look like a tough revolutionary. Whine privately.

Thank you for explaining all of this so well. The protesters/encampments go too Overboard to get their way.

They're always protesting the wrong people like the Holocaust Survivors, Met Galas.. and throwing their weight around Universities.. Breaking things and Blocking Jewish Students.

The hard core cringe my face just involuntarily contorted into caused physical pain.

In case anyone wanted to know what a total lack of self-awareness looks like - Exhibit A.

In addition, people keep objecting to these protestors being called privileged.

Also, Exhibit A.

Complicated situation, so much room for legitimate discussion, and this guy can't get past his idiotic notion of what some other people's size and shape should be.

I see they are on a hunger strike, since Friday, and whining that the university isn't taking care of them. Seems the students expect doctors to come and take care of them because they don't feel very well after four days.

Pretty amazing features, especially for a protestor on a hunger strike. See for yourself:

How do they expect to get their point across effectively when they start with a list of demands that includes Taco Bell and WiFi access?
