Three children were hurt after a cannon malfunctioned at the Orem Summerfest parade.

Having worked around and with explosives for much of my career, I just don't understand why such utter incompetence is allowed to flourish and thrive in the name of patriotism and flag waving. BATF needs to get involved and investigate this incident.

Religion is Pathological

Most of the national and local media enable and encourage religious buffoonery by publicizing and promoting their outrageous behavior and selling it for profit as legitimate news. Ted Cruz is a clever con artist and snake oil salesman who has found his sweet spot amongst ignorant, gullible evangelical tea-baggers. The dumbing down of our education system is playing into the hands of America's Taliban. Critical Thinking is frowned upon and obedience to Corporate authority is promoted. The separation of Church and State is the most important founding principal of the United States and now more than ever we need to embrace and encourage that ideal before the religio-fascists destroy the Country and remake it in their own twisted image.

"From time to time we may struggle with content that crosses the line in one area or another," said Jeff Simpson, CEO of KSL’s parent company, Bonneville International. "The dialogue might be excessively rude and crude. The scenes may be too explicit or the characterizations might seem offensive."

This is the business arm of the homophobic cult of mormonism that Mitt Romney and thousands of others contribute billions of dollars in tithing to every year. We need to send a strong message in November that this pathetic Cult and the Republican Party are on the wrong side of history. The cult also needs to lose their religious tax exemption for their past political activity.
