Before
Night Falls
Starring
Javier Bardem and Johnny Depp
Personally I couldn't make heads nor tails of this movie. Suffice
to say it's set in Cuba and Johnny Depp plays a transvesterite. In my
humble opinion it's this kind of nonsense which is tearing apart the very
fabric of American society. Cubans! Transvesterites! Why, this is nothing
more than a subterfugerous plot to emboggle the minds of America's children.
No Flags out of Five
Head
Over Heels
Starring Freddie Prinze Jr. and Monica Potter
This was a nice little story about a fella and a girl who
fall in love. Quite wholesome. I thought there could have been a bit less
flesh overall, but the movie was only 87 minutes long so I had time to
nip into Hamburger Hamlet on my way home.
  Three

Place
Vendome
Starring Catherine Deneuve and Jean-Pierre Bacri
Halfway into this movie a thought suddenly occurred to me:
we kicked the frogs out of Texas and THIS is their revenge! Forcing me,
Phil Gramm, to sit through two hours of "bonjor" this and "ooh
la la" that! I forgot to take my reading glasses to the theater,
so you can imagine my agony as the blurred sub-titles raced by. In fact,
the only redeeming feature of this movie was the classy performance of
Catherine Deneuve as... well, I'm not sure what she was supposed to be,
but the little lady sure did look fine.
One Flag out of Five
Left
Behind
Starring Kirk Cameron and Brad Johnson
Now THIS is more like it. A coherent plot, inspiring dialogue,
and stunning performances all help to make "Left Behind" my
Movie Of The Week. It's nice to see folks making a serious movie about
serious issues - after all, what WILL we do when the rapture comes? I
think this movie goes a long way toward answering that question. Take
your children to see "Left Behind" - it'll provide them with
an insight into the true power of God's mysterious ways, and they'll pick
up some useful firearm tips along the way. All in all this movie screams
"Oscar"!

Dinosaur
An amusing computer-generated tale about what dinosaurs
might have been like if they had really existed.
Goya
On Broadway
Yet another tribute to gay hispanics. When will Hollywood
stop feeding this filth to our children?
What
Lies Beneath
Michelle Pfeiffer and Harrison Ford light up the screen
in this spooky story, although I think I preferred him when he was Indiana
Jones.
