The "coalition" POWs
It was interesting to see the interviews being held with a few of the POWs captured by the Iraqis.

I noticed that the interviewers spoke in calm, comforting voices, and I saw how one of them put a gentle hand on the shoulder of the young African-American female. Her eyes seemed to express a terrible fear, and that is likely because she was trained/brainwashed by the US miltary to believe all Iraqis are blood-thirsty murderers.

I have faith that the experience of these POWs will leave them non-plussed and very confused. I expect that they will be given good treatment, decent food and clean quarters during their confinement, and that they will be released, unharmed when the time comes.

Maybe I'm just dreaming, but it is my hope that the POWs will discover that they were treated better by the Iraqis than they have ever been treated by the very people who are supposed to be protecting them on the battlefield. And, in the case of the African-American woman, she may find that people in the Middle East, unlike too many of the folks back home, do not consider her a second-class human being because of her dark brown skin!

3. GWI POWs
Were beaten and threatened constantly with execution. These POWs will most likely be treated worser because the situation is much more dire.

4. Okay,
thanks for bringing me back to reality. I guess my wishful thinking was that the Iraqis could possibly redeem themselves in the eyes of the fundies/pro-war folks by demonstrating some kindness.

Okay. I'm back to "real" now.

5. We don't know whether those people are in the custody of the Army...
...a militia, irregulars or what.

I heard someone saying several times that they weren't part of the Army, that they were just Iraqi people, and they wanted to know why they were there. I hope this is the truth, and that they are treated well.

Who do you think started the African slave trade? Arabs. If you read T.E. Lawrence, it appears that Arabs were still keeping slaves as late as WWI.

They executed the officers.

9. Wow...
Honestly now folks, have any of you seen the Al Jazeera tapes of the dead bodies? Have you seen the executions? My dad has a copy of the video, would you like to see it?

There HEADS ARE BLOWN OFF! Those nice Iraqi's did that to them, and then made multiple violations under the Geneva Convention. Oh yeah, those Iraqi's are so much nicer than our commanders.

10. hello?
do you not remember the fact that not only the female but also some of the male POWs from 91 were not only beaten but raped? Maybe that wouldn't bother you, but for us normal people, that's something a lot of us wouldn't be able to get over very easily. It's amazing to me how idiotic you liberals are. you have the freedom to voice your opinions without fearing that your "leader" won't have you drug out into the street and shot in the head. Or taken to one of his torure or rape rooms. Yes, they do exist. you don't have to agree with the war, but for GOD'S SAKE have some compassion for our soldiers! They are out there to protect your sorry butt!

11. interrogation or rape
"I noticed that the interviewers spoke in calm, comforting voices, and I saw how one of them put a gentle hand on the shoulder of the young African-American female. Her eyes seemed to express a terrible fear, and that is likely because she was trained/brainwashed by the US miltary to believe all Iraqis are blood-thirsty murderers."
The terrible fear in her eyes comes from the fact that "the interviewers" were the last ones to rape her before the interview. The only way to deal with these savages is to salt the earth in pig blood, sew any "interviews" a pig skin and bury them that way. Let it be known to the Iraqi's that if you resist, you go to Hell. A lesson taught by General John J. Pershing in the Phillipines.

12. ok - I dont wawnt to blow off your feelings
But what you have just described are the classic signs of TORTURE.

Im not talking about the kind of torture that you and I might undergo if we are arrested for posession at a border crossing in the united states, but needle and electricity, drug and knife TORTURE - the kind of torture that nobody has any business permitting, the kind of torture that not even the United States commits - you know - the kind that mao and stalin and lenin, and Saddam Hussein use.

These people are dead. Even if we get them back to freedom, they will most likely die anyway. Please open you eyes to what you were really seeing on that screen.

I need to archive a copy of that video electronically for the future.

I dont want to see it. I want to be able to link to it when these losers decide that brutal murderers are the good guys again.

14. LibLady - just dont talk anymore
its obvious that you will run around doing this whenever you get a chance to. Guess what? The last best hope for you and for everyone on this planet is the United States. Without it, there would be NOBODY standing up for your rights to be a fool. You and your ilk would disappear into history, and then the books would be burned, and you would cease to exist.

God Bless America.

It is really hard to believe that someone could be so naive. I really hope that you can open your eyes in the future and see the world today for what it really is. If anyone has been brainwashed, it's you. You must have gone to school in California...
