Gloria (4417 posts) Jan-08-03, 08:54 PM (ET) Coast to Coast AM -- George Noory blasts Star Wars Yup, last night (just getting to this now!) he was on with open phones and a guy calls in debunking the previous night's guest who is into the thing about Apollo and how we never landed on the Moon. Anyway, Noory says the guy's basic message is about government lies and then he brings up the recent story about the MIT scientists who said the missile defense isn't working.Noory then said that if the MIT info was true, then the Administration was involved in FRAUD (his exact word). He continued by saying that "there's a lot of money" floating around this, so we may never know the whole story. Now, previously Noory (and Bell) have questioned the lack evidence about Iraq and this war and has also devoted a whole show to the Wellstone crash with Prof. James Fetzer. What next? Hokies_Against_Bush (801 posts) Jan-08-03, 09:08 PM (ET) 1. I thought Noory was a Bush* lover? This is a good sign. Barbara Simpson who does C to C on the weekends is a Bush ass-kisser for sure. If matter is too complicated to exist without a creator, how can a 'god' exist without a creator? However, I won't be surprised if he reverts to type. However, in general, I think he runs a better show than Bell did. Borgnine (40 posts) Jan-09-03, 05:28 AM (ET) 5. Coast to Coast. I noticed in Art's final shows, he was really beginning to spew venom towards the Bush Administration, perhaps because he knew he'd be off the air soon anyway and wouldn't have to worry about the reprecussions. I haven't listened to any of Coast to Coast since, but I don't know if I trust Noory, especially after his Clinton crap. Art was like a late-night friend, moderate on most political issues, but a big-time social liberal. I'll never forget when he defended homosexuality against fundamentalist callers, because I realized he was one of the last radio personalities on Clear Channel that wasn't an insane right-winger.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Top
