Claiming it was he who was harassed, state Sen. Anthony R. Bucco on Tuesday denied accusations of sexual harassment leveled at him by a former aide who claimed they had engaged in an affair.The woman, Nina Fleishman, 42, of Jefferson, claimed in faxes over the weekend that Bucco, who had fired her as an aide in his Denville office in June, also was responsible for her losing her $42,000 job as secretary for a regional lake commission.

Quoting from portions of the faxes, commissioners said Fleishman claimed to have lost her job in Bucco's office when his wife learned of their affair. The senator then attempted to "frighten and intimidate" her, considered himself "above the law," and worked to "make me feel worthless and harm my reputation," according to the faxes.
She asked Chudzik to "look into the sexual harassment quid pro quo situation that occurred during my employment with Sen. Bucco. . .
