Has anybody else heard of a rumor like this? ribofunk (196 posts) Dec-05-01, 04:35 PM (ET) 3. "I'm Hoping He Runs for President as an Independent" I saw an interview (pre-Sep 11) in which he refused to rule it out. His issue was the treatment of third parties in the debates and other forums. If Jesse runs for President, he'll draw at least 10% and probably more, mostly from Red voters. It's amazing how many elections have been significantly affected by a third party candidate--1968 (Wallace), 1980 (Anderson), 1992 (Perot), and 2000 (Nader).
