"Starving for Intelligence.......SAY WHAT!!!!! "
Bruce Lee--the author, not the karate guy--says that September 11 happened because "we starved our intelligence agencies." We have been hearing this ever since. Get ready for a huge increase in "intelligence" spending, as well as "taking the handcuffs off."

But let’s see if we can kill this handsome theory with some ugly facts.

Here is a list of our intelligence agencies we know about:

Central Intelligence Agency
The Directorate of Operations
The Directorate of Intelligence
The Directorate of Science and Technology (DS&T)
The National Intelligence Council (NIC)

Department of Defense
National Security Agency (NSA)
Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)
Central Measurements and Signature Intelligence Office (CMO)
Tactical Intelligence And Related Activities (TIARA)
The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO)
The Defense Airborne Reconnaissance Office (DARO)
Central Imagery Office (CIO)
Army--National Ground Intelligence Center
Navy--National Maritime Intelligence Center
Air Force--National Air Intelligence Center
Marine Corps Intelligence Activity
Joint Intelligence Centers
United States Atlantic Command (ACOM)
United States Central Command (CENTCOM)
United States European Command (EUCOM)
United States Pacific Command (PACOM)
United States Southern Command (SOUTHCOM)
United States Space Command (SPACECOM)
United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM)
United States Strategic Command (STRATCOM)
United States Transportation Command (TRANSCOM)

The Department of State's Bureau of Intelligence and Research (INR)
The Department of Energy: DOE's Office of Intelligence
The Department of Treasury: Treasury's Office of Intelligence Support
Federal Bureau of Investigation--National Security Division
The National Foreign Intelligence Board (NFIB)
The Intelligence Community Executive Committee (IC/EXCOM)
National HUMINT Requirements Tasking Center
Central Imagery Office (CIO)
President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board (PFIAB)
President's Intelligence Oversight Board (IOB)
Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI)

1. "It's the same argument as"
"Clinton gutted the military." It's bullshit. The problem is that ever since Raygun, the military/intelligence community has been buying toys instead of spending money on human beings, without which there IS no military or intelligence community.

2. "Bull Shit"
Ya know John Walker's parents bought him tickets to Middle East to find religion and he managed to get in thick with the Taliban ...granted I doubt he ever got close to OBL but he didn't have the budget of the CIA and he got closer than our own intelligence did.

hahaha

Sorry but more money for them is completely out of the question. They are such a bunch of leeches who got caught with their pants down and now they are asking for more money!

3. "And those intelligence agencies"
were all over everything back in the 60s under Cointelpro. I remember when I was first researching Kent State and discovered that NAVAL INTELLIGENCE had been active there. What's with that??? A land-locked university has active NAVAL INTELLIGENCE running around?

5. "Naval Intelligence, DISA, and all those spy guys"
Well, at my old website--which I took down after Homestead started charging--I used to get regular "hits" from Naval intelligence, the Defense Information Services Agency, and (bizarrely) the Navy's space warfare command center (SPAWAR), which I didn't even know *existed*.

At the new site, the only .gov hit I've gotten was NASA's Langley office.

Now what in the heck does SPAWAR want with my personal website, which (back then) was non-political?

6. "Naval Intelligence"
really seems to me to be one of those great hidden agencies. The research into them that I did in the late '70s absolutely astounded me. It was unreal how broad-based their intelligence was.

And that is really bizarre that all those government agencies would have been viewing your site. I wonder who stops by my 19th century western history site?

7. "Intelligence Be Damned"
Naval Intelligence, Military Intelligence, Government Intelligence, CIA-FBI Intelligence, Merikan Intelligence, Police Intelligence, GOP Intelligence, NRA Intelligence, and on, and on.

What do they have in common?

They are all oxymorons. And no, that does not mean a pimple cream for retards. Although on further inspection, it just might!

8. "Extreme Tracking"
For the past two years or so I've used http://www.extreme-dm.com/tracking/?npt, a good site-usage meter. It's free and it'll tell you who your last 20 visitors are from. If all you see is their IP number, you can look that up at http://www.arin.net/whois and find out who they are.

It can really be quite...interesting. About the third time you see Naval Intelligence, you gotta figure either they're wasting Our Tax Dollars playing around online, or they are actually lookin' at ya.
