(JAPAN)Schools hit by quake, tsunami struggling to provide proper lunches ...

Students receive lunch at a junior high school in Sendai on April 18. Many schools are still only able to provide simple lunches of bread and milk for students. (Mainichi)

Schools in some areas hit by the March 11 Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami are still having trouble providing proper lunches for children, raising nutritional health concerns.

In a Miyagi Prefectural Government survey of 35 cities, towns and villages, eight municipalities said they would not be able to provide full lunches for children until June or were unsure when they could start providing them.
