RECOUNT ALERT SERIOUS BREAK IN CHAIN OF CUSTODY IN WAUKESHA COUNTY
Source: PolitiScoop

Breaking News Out of Waukesha County Wisconsin -- This being reported from witnesses on the ground in Waukesha

"At around 2:15pm, we were ready to open the bags for Delafield. There were three bags total. Bags 1 & 2 were fine. The numbers all matched up. When we got to bag 3, we found out that the bag # was NOT RECORDED ON THE INSPECTOR'S statement...! The Republican canvass person said we could assume that the clerk forgot to write the # down on the inspector's statement and we could proceed. Of course, this is a break in the chain of custody!..."

3. So, do I have this correct?

The county with the highest republican vote totals featuring a 97% voter turn out finds a bag that's not on the manifest totaling up to possibly thousands of votes? Jesus Christ. If it walks like a duck and all that other shit. :anger:

5. Fair enough. Misread the following.
"Darcy said that with this big a municipality ...that we're talking thousands of votes (I think she said 10,000). I don't know how many votes we're talking here, but this is very suspicious."

9. oh read that again, the 10,000 votes may be for the entire manicipality, not that single bag
the bag having 350 or so makes more sense anyway

10. Maybe it was 3500? If the entire town had 10000 divided into 3 bags.

19. No. It was about 350. There are about 6500 people in Delafield, It was 1 bag from one reporting unit

Anyone who has ever voted knows that towns have wards. This was one bag from one ward.

is no chain of custody, it needs to be set aside and not counted until a chain of custody can be established without a doubt.

20. The ballots were counted separately.
The bag included other information that was evidence of legitimacy and the reconciliation of #'s matched. Now, could this be evidence of tampering? Yes, but not enough for more than a few hundred votes. As I said elsewhere, if this is consistently the case in every municipality (1 or 2 suspect bags), THEN something is very very fucking wrong. Til then, we continue to count, monitor, object and enter into evidence.

Those were votes, the board errs on the side of not disenfranchising voters.

13. It's very fishy that the one bag that hadn't been recorded was opened first.
And the judge overseeing the recount allowed it despite Bill's objection.

15. 10,000 votes divided into 3 bags. So we're talking at least 3000 votes.
Why is there only ONE person in the room to do the objecting?

21. No, 350 ish.
There were 3 objectors because each campaign can only have 1 designated spokesperson and one was a lawyer. Darcy and Bill did exactly what they were supposed to do.

The part you all should scream about is that the Kloppenburg campaign does NOT have an official lawyer on site in Waukesha. Bill (as noted) is a volunteer.

There are only 6500 residents in all of Delafield and 4500 voters on its best day. This was one bag from one reporting unit.

It's not an "article", it's an anonymous report from someone who has no idea about Delafield and didn't care enough to stick around and see how many votes were actually in the bag.

I was there when they certified the final numbers for that unit. There were 1224 total voters in the poll books and slightly fewer total ballots for that reporting unit. In all 3 bags.

Here: page 129 of this PDF: http://gab.wi.gov/sites/default/files/Ward%20results_4.5.11_supreme_recount%20pending.pdf

It was wards 1, 2, 5 & 6.

17. omfg! it is only a matter of time election fraud is discovered! Let's see if the culprits r caught!
anytime voter/election fraud occurs, i immediately smell a dirty, filthy neoconfascist! they lust for power and don't care if they have to steal it to possess it! Observe the crimes bush/cheney & the hypocritical gop (some of those same critters are still 'serving' their corporate masters right this moment) have commited thus far! & don't forget P.N.A.C.!

Perfectly legal....the GOP controlled state made it legal for Republicans to steal elections...they call any election anomalies Democratic Voter fraud...and launch investigations on Milwaukee county voters.

I am calling this election a fraud and it should be null and void at this point. But of course there are too many wimps in the democratic party to demand such a thing. Worthless representation!!!

30. Are you kidding?
Democrats in Wisconsin HAVE requested investigations. The Kloppenburg reps did exactly what they should and could have done: objected. The Board did what it was supposed to do: examine evidence and rule. Any further action has to occur in litigation.
