Human cannonball dies in UK stunt accident
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article/article?f=/n/a/20...

British police say a man has died after a safety net gave way during a human cannonball performance at a "daredevil" stunt show in southern England.

Police in Kent said Monday the show was canceled after the 23-year-old died.

They said they believe the death was caused by the safety net "failing to engage," but did not provide further details.

I know, it's sad and tragic, but in that line of work, it must be sort of expected to some degree.

The comments section has some pretty good ones, for those inclined towards dark humor...

4. Herd thinned
And that's no joke: I've ZERO sympathy for people like him. (And this includes bungie-jumpers, white-water rafters, rock climbers, etc.)

5. People "like" him?
What the fuck does that mean?

People whose safety equipment fails?

Do you not have sympathy if a window washer falls off a scaffold?
