Trump lashes out at De Niro
Donald Trump To Robert DeNiro: You talkin' to me, Einstein?

The oh-so-2012-buzzed-about Trump phoned in to "Fox & Friends" this morning, defending his New York voting record and hitting back at comments made by fellow tough guy DeNiro, about how "birthers" need to can it.

"Well, he's not the brightest bulb in the planet," Trump dumped on DeNiro, who said it's "crazy" that people continue to insist that President Obama might not have been born in the U.S.

"I have been watching over the years and I like his acting, but in terms of when I watch him doing interviews and various other things, we are not dealing with Albert Einstein," Trump added. "He can say what he wants, but the fact is this guy has not revealed his birth certificate."

10. He's actually a very bad businessman who's gone bankrupt
with other people's money. His fortunate birth not only left him with a fortune of his own, but lavished a huge number of family contacts he's been pumping for seed money and the charisma it takes to get it.

More and more, he's starting to look like Stupid, but without Stupid's charm or reserve and that's saying one hell of a lot since Stupid had those qualities only in short supply.

He's turning into a blowhard bully and I think if they don't rein him in quickly, he's in danger of being the GOP's next fading star.

16. Trump filed for bankruptcy four times. He is a horrible businessman.
As far as can be told, DiNiro's Tri-Bec film festival is big-time successful, as is DiNiro as an actor. Trump is a non-achieving, ripoff artist jackass.

3. If nothing else, you can depend on Trump to just go around pissing everybody off!
I am really curious about what his schtick is with this. Is he bored? Does he just need a new hobby?

21. I've heard that his show wasn't doding well in ratings befroe he started talking politics
Edited on Mon Apr-25-11 04:04 PM by That Guy 888
Trump also uses his talk of a Presidential run to boost sales for his book, and other deals. I've never watched his show, but I understand a lot of it has to do with self-promotion.

Just like sarah, publicity and what being famous for being famous can get you is the goal, not political office.

17. There is an excellent article about Trump and his seedy business practices,
article by Howie Kurtz, of all people. The article describes how Trump and business partners ripped off everyday americans that had just enough to buy into Trump's over-priced condos. The people were absolutely ripped off with no recourse other than the courts, where Trump counter-sued to cover his ass.

18. I have a problem with Eminent Domain
And from my recollections, he has used it often. I can kind of understand the greater good in a community but for development purposes and corporate profit it yanks my chain.

19. Mr. De Niro's public reserve is legendary.
He may be shy or he may just not care, but I would bet De Niro's business acumen against that prune-lipped, orange-faced, mesh-headed thug any day of the week.

The Tribeca Film Festival nets the city of New York over half a billion dollars annually. He is co-owner of a chain of successful restaurants, plus a couple three other eateries and he's an owner of the Greenwich Hotel. He's run the same production company, begun (like the film festival) with the intention of reviving NYC's reputation as the "first coast" of television and movies and he's been pretty darned fruitful in his efforts.

My guess is that if Mr. De Niro responds to Trump's desperate cry for attention comments, it will consist of no more than one sentence and the words "fuck', "that" and "guy" might be involved.

Edited on Mon Apr-25-11 04:32 PM by MrScorpio
All the Donald knows how to do these days is attention whore.

You can bet, dollars-to-donuts, that Trump is totally grateful that DeNiro even bothered to mention his name.
