... most aren't. Most are just hateful jerks. BUT...

Rick Santorum sets off my gaydar.

Anybody else get that signal?

A former Republican senator who warned that acceptance of homosexuality could lead to "man on child, man on dog" relations borrowed his presidential campaign slogan from a pro-union poem written by a gay rights advocate.

2. I'm betting he experimented a little in college.
Maybe his dogs had to sit down quickly when he came around, too.

You simply must do!

EDIT: My alarm jangles not when Ricky passes mine eye.

8. One is not to speak of the old Gaydar? Sorry, i will not comply with your demand.
The OP is quite specific, and understands quite well (or appears to) the homophobic aspects of which you speak.

As long as there is a closet, i will engage my own gaydar. Best wishes to you for a lovely evening.

Yours truly, K

13. it's called projection, in some cases.
It's complex, but a real and legitimate psychological phenomenon.

10. When you see someone counting money, does your "Jewdar" go off?
Or when you hear rap music, does your "Blackdar" light up? What other "dars" do you actively monitor on a regular basis?

12. "Gaydar" is something gay culture developed on our own. You are insulting my culture.
A culture that was driven underground, and to too great a degree, still is kept underground. But I'm sure you don't mean to. I'm guessing you just didn't understand.

However, it seems to me you also manage to reveal some prejudice of your own, if only by accident.

we don't care if he is gay. we don't want to think about who he may or may not have sex with. this is just not the caliber of conversation that we wish to host.
thanks
