Teabagger Puts Budget Deal In Terms Teabaggers Can Understand: McDonald’s
The $60 billion that the Republicans wanted to cut from spending (simple cuts, not “reductions in rates”) was to the Federal Budget what 1/2 of a French Fry would be to a Big Mac Value Meal (medium size). That’s right, 1/2 of a fry. So why did the Dems manage to get the Republicans to cut that down to $38 billion? Do you realize what that amounts to in the same Value Meal? 1/4 of a French Fry. That’s the equivalent amount of calories in the Big Mac Value Meal that the $38 billion represents in terms of government spending. Think about that the next time you get a Value Meal (of any kind) at the fast food drive-thru.

This is the manifesto that will take down the Republican Party. Finally somebody puts it in terms we’re all familiar with.

1. I think they lost their intended audience at "medium size"

multiple time frames (different time frames for different provisions) and that the actual amount cut from this year's budget is $352 Million.

Put that into the Value Meal analogy and I am guessing you will need to measure it in grains of salt on the french fry.

the clip is only about 2 minutes long (link)

9. It's historic in that we drank the teabaggers' milkshake.
And it only cost us about 1/4 of a french fry.

11. no, it cost us less than 1% of 1/4 of a french fry
unless this analogy is starting to confuse me

anyways, $352 million this year, not $38.5 billion

5. I gotta say, I think that was a good idea. Whenever we
try to reach people with charts and graphs and intellectual articles, we lose them. I wish we would come up with more of this type of explanation.

6. Hey Teabaggers!
Don't stand for this! Form legal parties in every state and run your own candidates in every race. That'll show them darn Republicans!
