Remove health care and retirement entitlements from Congress
Today would be the perfect day to announce legislation to revamp the health care and retirement benefits of Congress. The selfish action of accepting health care and retirement funds paid for by the American people while denuding the plan that the people have been paying for, for years, must be stopped. The criminal act of handing health care for the people over to the insurance industry is enough to call for the removal of Congressional benefits. How sweet it would be to listen to them whine and panic about coverage. Only when they participate in the plan of the masses will we get a fair and equitable policy.

3. BOy, that would grab their attention now wouldn't it?
those republicans-teabaggers in congress are the biggest hypocrites it's truly astonishing how willfully corrupt those senators/ reps who have been bought by corporations (which makes them koch-whores) and force them to say your opposition will pull the plug on grandma if you don't elect me

4. Here is what I think :)
Introduce/pass a 25% pay cut for both house and senate and require an 8% increase in contributions to their health care premiums.
Reduce federal retirement contributions by 8% while allowing an employee option to make up the difference out of their base pay.
Or something like that.
Shared Sacrifice.

5. Best way to achieve this is to demand it of
all campaigning pols -- new and incumbent and have ballot referendums. Also, try to educate the masses about how the very congress critters who decry BIG gov't are using it to fleece their pockets. I do this one-on-one (nicely) everytime I hear some one complain about BIG gov't.

Exhibit A: in Best Buy looking at electronics, a man (likely teabagger) was complaining about gov't. I chimed in: I know what you mean but the really sad thing is that WE are supposed to be the gov't... We, The People. Instead we have all these idiots in Congress who bad mouth gov't... but think about it... they run for gov't office to get gov't benefits. They get healthcare and pensions paid for by our taxes. And they vote themselves raises. Now ain't that a crime!

I smiled at him the whole time. When I walked away, I looked back and he smiled at me nodding in agreement! That's one light bulb

9. As you know, Congressional members will have access to the Federal health insurance plan,
forever. What reason do they have to make sound decisions on the subject. Short of lining their own pockets that is!
