Are Democrats redefining courageous?
Truly Pathetic
Josh Marshall | April 4, 2011, 5:44PM
"Why on earth did the Democrat speaking for the Democrats just now on Hardball say it was "courageous" but "politically stupid" for Paul Ryan to put up a plan to abolish Medicare and other federal social programs? That's the best he can do? "Courageous"? That's amazing. If ordinary people who look forward to being able to rely on Medicare once they retire can't even get advocates who don't think it's "courageous" to try to abolish Medicare, why are Democrats even in this game?
-- Josh Marshall,

This is like saying it is courageous to sneak into a house and rape a woman risking being caught and shot, and killed or caught, tried, convicted and sent to prison as a boy toy of some lifer. Calling someone courageous who advocates a policy that would result in several million elderly Americans losing their health care leading to bankruptcy or early death is a gross misuse of the word.

He keeps using that word. I don't think it means what he thinks it means.

2. Perhaps they should issue a dictionary so we can be clear on what
they mean.
