Child-proof cap
I'm doing some painting with a rattle can. I usually just automatically squeeze the sides of the cap and toss it aside, but today I looked at the instructions embossed on the top.

It's a picture. No words, just a picture of two fingers pressing on the sides and an arrow indicating it be pulled away from the can. I'm no advocate, and there aren't any children in my home, but why do they even bother? If they don't want preschool children to figure it out why gear the instruction to their level?

Have we become this stupid that an adult consumer may not be able to comprehend a two step process without a picture? Should someone that dumb be spraying paint? Now I'll be watching for Rednecks with paint spray on their faces.

1. The spray paint on their faces means their meth dealer got busted
That child proof stuff will slow down a toddler but it won't do much more than that.

Worst child proof experience I had was a cast iron kid proof cap on a bottle of pain pills when I had broken my hand. I had to open that bastard with a hammer.

Still, putting picture instructions on them is monumentally stupid since preschool kids will be able to figure them out in record time.
