So, The Justice That Justice Prosser Called a "B**ch" Is Going To Oversee The Recount?
As the deeply divided state Supreme Court wrestled over whether to force one member off criminal cases last year, Justice David Prosser exploded at Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson behind closed doors, calling her a "bitch" and threatening to "destroy" her.

In one twist, state law calls for Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson to appoint the state judge who would hear the case if the loser of a recount in a statewide election goes to court over the outcome. Abrahamson and Prosser have clashed on the court. Prosser's private remark calling Abrahamson a "total bitch" was the subject of a recent political ad attacking Prosser.

11. She won't judge it herself but appoint the judge that will
There is no reason for her to recuse herself as she would not be involved at all.

4. I firmly believe in "what goes around, comes around" and while
sometimes it takes years, it is always satisfying. In this case, it didn't take long.

10. How can Prosser ask her to recuse herself after he cast the deciding vote...
...in allowing a Justice - himself - to vote in cases for the Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce. WMC is his biggest backer.

His hypocrete meter would be way over the redline.

12. I doubt it will stop him
His own account of why he used the B-word is almost more disturbing than the fact that he used it at all: "She made me mad" was basically the gist of it. His insistence that she somehow "deserved it" was eerily similar to that of abusers.
