Prosser is collecting money for the recount, but if I read these
rules right, the state pays for the recount. Anybody want to chime in?

1. Al Franken raised money around his recount, too.

3. His was to pay lawyers because Coleman had really
lawyered up and Franken had to counter the challenges involved.
I don't know if the state payed for that recount though.

8. Minnesota is not Wisconsin ...
different states have different state constitutions ...

and Franken kept his mouth shut and sat back, and let Coleman dig himself deeper.

BTW, did Coleman ever pay those nasty "frivolous lawsuit" court costs, like the Republicans constantly screamed about? You know, where the loser has to pay the court costs of the winner of the court battle?

2. He'll have a team of high-priced lawyers challenging every fucking vote.
That's how rethugs roll.

4. He's raising for Lawyers & Propagandists to sell his story...
to the "court of public opinion." I am concerned because I suspect Koppenburger and the local dems may not be prepared (despite their recent experience with the teabaggers and Walker tactics) to wage the kind of counter defense against what is about to happen. With Koch money likely making its way, it is hard to imagine what they WON'T try to pull....

5. Yeah I'll chime in
Democrats pay way to much attention to the rules and way to less attention to winning the battle.

6. He wants to poll the jury. How unseemly. For a judicial candidate, at least. One is thought not

to want the position too ardently.

7. If/when the recount ends up in court, the law says case will be heard
by a reserve judge, not a sitting judge. The chief justice, Abrahamson, picks the judge to hear the case.
