How "grass-roots" is done- "Another incumbent out at City Hall"
(snip- emphasis mine)

Another incumbent alderman has lost his seat at City Hall.

Fred Heitert, a 32-year members of the Board of Aldermen and for many years its only Republican, lost his re-election bid by 48 votes to Democrat Larry Arnowitz, a longtime city employee.

1. And we have a new Mayor in Florissant
with Schneider winning in a 6 way contest. Not my choice, but hopefully he will do well for us. Our Fire Board Election got into a bit of name calling, but beyond that things seemed to be pretty mellow as is usual in the April Voting
