What do you read to keep up on politics? I read the local liberal paper, a right wing one (to keep
up with what the neoliberals are up to), NYTimes, vanity fair and the DU.

1. You have a local liberal paper?
You must be in some other country.

I get 75% of my information right here on DU the balance from Daily Kos, Talking Points Memo and a few other interweb sites.

3. Well it is not totally liberal. But yeah I am in canada where universal health care is revered.

2. DU, Steve Benen, American Prospect, Greg Sargent, TPM, to
name a few. And I look for people like Eugene Robinson and EJ Dionne to see what they're thinking.

4. DU, Al Jazeera, SFGate
DU'ers are extremely good at finding news items from all over and posting them here.
It has been a prime go-to place for news for me for years.

I started watching Al Jazeera for the 'Revolution du Jour' earlier in the year,
but found their coverage of other news is excellent as well. They seem to have
better coverage of American labor protests than any our our networks do! It is
not "dumbed down" the way our news networks are. They seem to have bureaus
everywhere, the way professional news organizations used to before they started
slashing their budgets. http://english.aljazeera.net

SFGate for local news.
