Now that Campaign 2012 has begun, here are some of the rules
If you criticize anything the Obama administration has done, it means youre sitting out the 2012 elections. Or, at the very least, you will be accused of doing so pre-emptively. Some other things you might not know about criticism of the Obama administration (I didnt know quite a few of them, so youre forgiven if any of these are new to you):

If you criticize the Obama administration, it means:

1. You want John McCain to be president.
2. You want Sarah Palin to be president.
3. You want the troops to die horribly.
4. You want Moammar Qaddafi to slaughter Libyans.
5. You want the terrorists to win.
6. You want us all to live in caves and heat our homes with open fires.
7. You want everyone to live in poverty.
8. You dont understand the way the world works, you nave little dumpling.
9. You want Michele Bachmann to be president.
10. You want the Koch brothers to run America.
11. You want the baby Jesus to cry.
12. You want more people out of work.
13. You want a pony.
14. You dont want a pony.
15. You want a unicorn that farts rainbows.
16. You want a rainbow that farts unicorns.
17. Youre two steps to the right of Stalin.
18. You would have been right at home in Nazi Germany.
19. You want a player to be named later.
20. You dont have a choice, suck it up and enjoy it, because its the best we can possibly do or even hope for, and by noticing shortcomings youre only providing more ammunition for the repressive forces in the country, because they would have never figured out on their own anything to criticize the Obama administration.
21. Or something.

5. Look around a little bit
I've seen practically every one of those points asserted (okay, I made up the rainbows farting unicorns one).

8. I don't think any of us have ever called criticism of Obama Stalinist
or Hitler-like.

And guess what? Saying you're not voting for him in 2012 IS enabling the GOP nominee, no matter how you slice it.

11. If half the energy spent carping about Obama was spent on building a new, more liberal candidate,
... there might be one by now.

13. No, but if you criticize almost EVERYTHING the Obama administration has done,
then #1-21 are pretty close to the truth.

16. Great post
I particularly love being told that I am responsible for people dying in Libya because I dont support our military action over there.

Sadly, the people on this site who this post is aimed at will never be convinced about how absurd their partisan logic is.

17. I am very disappointed in the Obama Administration.
I'll vote for Obama. And he will most likely win reelection.

The issue is whether other Dems will be elected in sufficient numbers. And they won't unless they stop caving and start fighting back like Wisconsin Dems.
