A job I could never do - VIDEO
Right after the cartoon, hold onto something.....anything....to watch a repair job in progress. I'm sure of two things: glad I hadn't eaten anything before viewing and there isn't enough money in the world for me to attempt this.

I also experienced a sensation of my skin crawling.

4. I'm in awe of tree trimmers
who take great risks, too. Wonder if a fear of heights is innate or learned behavior.

7. I had to stop watching. The air has to be thinner up there.

8. That's Amazing!
They must be so damned exhausted by the time they get up there that their arms and legs feel like lead.

And yet, at the very top, that one guy just stood there, calmly, not holding on, while he took his smaller safety hook so he could attach it to that pole. One gust...

You can't see it, but I hope they were all tied together for safety. Though, if they are all free-climbing, I wonder how much good that would really do if one of them fell suddenly?

I can't believe that they find people willing to do a job like that. No way in Hell!

I hope they get paid a fortune to do that job.

There is no way a CEO earns a fortune per hour, but these people, they definitely do! I'd definitely agree to pay them a few thousand dollars per hour for working up there. They deserve far more pay per hour than any Wall Street criminal does.

Not only are they doing something productive, necessary and useful, but they are actually taking real personal risks and showing a hell of a lot of courage.

9. I'll bet going down is pretty hard to do also.
If I had to climb that high, I would have a lightweight backpack parachute with me.

13. I used to fly helicopters and have no vertigo problems, but that video
gave me the willies.

I hear those guys (and the ones who paint the towers) get paid real well. But no way would I do it.

15. It would be pretty rough
being married to a person doing this for a living. Maybe even moreso than a cop.

16. I couldn't do it either.
I wonder if they have leads attached to all their tools? I drop mine enough that it's annoying to have to pick them up. I couldn't imagine having to climb back down all that after one.

Well, that and they'd have to cut it down and pry my fingers loose to get me off it the first time I looked down.
