Obese man stuck in chair for two years - Skin fused to fabric
AN OBESE man had to be cut free from a chair he'd been stuck in for TWO years.

Rescuers cut a hole in a wall at a house to lift the massive man through after it was discovered he had become so obese he was FUSED to the chair.

The unnamed man, 43, was found sitting in his own faeces and urine and covered in maggots by disgusted health officials at the house in Bellaire, Ohio on Sunday.

4. Reminds me of the story of the very-obese woman who was stuck to a toilet for a long time
(like maybe a year, or more).

Unbelievable.

7. I had a lovely grandmother who lived to be 85 that was morbidly obese. I
loved her so much. My uncles and aunts all helped her by getting a nurse that was with her everyday. She had to walk holding on to a chair to go to her bedroom. They built a special sofa for her with a hole in it so she could go to the bathroom and the nurser would take it to the bathroom. The nurser washed her everyday. She would let us kids comb her hair. She was a gentle soul. She never left her house in over 20 yrs. The saddess day for us kids was when she died. She kept herself clean at all times. I feel so bad for this man. Why wasn't someone there to take care of him?

9. reminds me of Whats Eating Gilbert Grape.
Gilbert's ma was overweight and such a sweetie. Your description of your gramma reminded me of this movie.

It's a nice movie, brad pitt is about 10 years old in it. :) well maybe 15, hard to tell with a baby face kind of face like he has.

11. My ex husband's aunt was morbidly obese and more than
a little nuts. Some doctor told her that she had arthritis in her legs and should stay off her feet, so that's what she did - sit in her chair watching tv all the time. She lived with her mother and when Grandma died, she became even worse because she inherited some money. She ordered food several times a day, ordered stuff from the home shopping channels constantly and let feral cats into her house to keep having kittens. She had a stroke and was hospitalized for a year, in a coma the whole time, then she died. Her funeral was so sad - she was finally thin, had long, manicured nails, had her hair done... She looked better, actually kind of beautiful, at her funeral than she'd ever looked in her life and it was totally heartbreaking.

8. The unimaginable amount of feces laced with urine, accumulating underneath that man for two years
Edited on Wed Mar-30-11 07:55 PM by Urban Prairie
it is something that just seems completely incomprehensible, much less the incredible stench emanating from him as well...did his girlfriend help him deal with the obvious..uhh...overflow....gag!!

:puke:

His gf, even if he may have refused to cooperate with her possible pleas to get up or let her seek assistance to help him, or call social services, should be jailed and charged with inhumane neglect, or perhaps something more serious, even though she gave him food and drinks...I would probably not have been able to even get within smelling distance of him, I clean our three cats' two litter boxes each and every day w/o fail, unless I am very sick, even though I could probably clean them every other day.
