Government Shutdown Chicken: Who flinches first?
Will Obama (and the Dems) gut social programs and cave in to the Repukes, and in doing so screw the country and any hope of a recovery a year before he hopes to win re-election?

Will the TeaBagging Repukes give in once things start to look bad and be felt on Main Street USA?

IF the Government shuts down next week or so, and it starts to hurt families, will the Repukes flinch and in doing so, hand Obama a "victory"? Or will they enjoy watching people suffer as they know that the ignorant masses will blame Obama, thus sinking his re-election hopes?

Is this a Lose-Lose situation for Obama, the Dems, and the American People?

2. The only possible win any where in the whole situation....
is if people breakdown and start having an honest discussion about where we're going as a nation.

Yea, like that's going to happen.:banghead:

3. Obama isn't about pointing fingers, he's more interested in fixing the problem
Unfortunately he's just about the only one in the country who feels that way and his adversaries in the other party and the liberal media love to apportion blame.

By not playing the blame game, he sets himself as an easy target for those who make their living playing it.

So whatever happens you can be certain it will be portrayed as poor judgment by and a political setback for the President.

You would think he would have caught on by now.

8. Newty backed down pretty fast last time when it seemed it would
last so long that the social security checks would not come. When those checks do not come it is not just the elderly who get angry - their kids have to step in and help, their rent does not get paid and their are a lot businesses that loose also.

I hope Obama has enough sense to take them on.

9. You kidding? The teabags WANT a shutdown. That's what their whole movement is about!
I'll bet they are hoping it will shut down just to show the rest how dedicated they are.

Since Obama won't let it shut down, he'll capitulate, giving the teabags what they want, damaging the future of the country and giving teabags more power and influence.

Once they see that terrorism works we will be in for a lot more of it.

Unless we get someone who can wield a big, big stick, we will be forced over and over again to suck up to these idiots and help destroy our country.

11. Extreme Right GOP backs down from Fringe Right GOP.

Since the current deal was put on hold due to differences WITHIN the GOP, rather than between Democrats and the GOP.

Of course, if it does shutdown they will pretend it was the Democrats.
