Proof positive that ass kissing means nothing to Repukes:
Friday I had this as part of a post:

Today the newly appointed "Acting Surgeon General" wrote something very close to this: "It is a privilege and an honor to serve as Acting Surgeon General for as long as our Governor needs me..." I said out loud, "Good God! can she get her tongue any further up his rectum?" when I read that on my State of Florida computer monitor.

Tonight I read this:

Published: March 21, 2011

Updated: 27 min. ago

TALLAHASSEE - Gov. Rick Scott has named a former Florida Medical Association president and retired military doctor as the state's surgeon general.

Scott announced the appointment of Dr. Frank Farmer of Ormond Beach on Monday.

1. 99.9% of DU has no idea what you're talking about.
Please add some names and some context to the post. A few links might help, as well.

I'm sure your concern is legitimate, but information is sorely lacking.

2. Really?

Let me explain, on Friday 3/18 Health Department staff were told that Governor Rick Scott appointed an "Acting Surgeon General." Actually the appointment was made sometime Wednesday and was in the news Thursday. The post had been vacant since he took office in January. Today, Monday 3/21, he appointed a Surgeon General, so the "Acting" job lasted three business days. What possible reason could he have to have done that other than to humiliate the person he gave the job to for a matter of days?

3. Please, don't get angry with me.
If you want a proper audience for this post, put it in the FL forum. The rest of us need an explanation on how Rick Scott has gone Uber-Dick within the state.

Very few here would dispute that Rick Scott is a complete turd, but you've got to provide the stool sample for understanding.

4. I'm not and further digging gave me better facts and a more
sympathetic view of Ms. Turner than I previously held. Please note that I updated my response since you replied. This guy is a total mean spirited bastard, last Thursday he put the salaries of all state employees on the Internet, which led to my decision to retire.
