1. Does that mean they are going to be able to get the cooling system
back online?

4. The pumps and controllers
were flooded as well.

But they should have been able to work on those already.

8. The U.S. Army provided several high-pressure pumps to Fukushima.
So they should be able to hook them up and get running relatively quickly.

3. Now to see if it has any effects on -
the cooling systems/vents/controls. :scared:

If nothing else, then can now get lighting and non-gas/battery generators working as well.

5. Isn't this their last chance at meaningful intervention?
I wish we knew what was really going on. The unknown is pretty damn scary. I have a wild imagination, and all I can see is six mushroom clouds.

6. Why couldn't they just bring in some large generators?
Lots of facilities have backup generators that could be air lifted in. The military has generators on trucks. Why did they have to wait for a grid connection?

7. 1 outta 6 well it's a start
just wondering if this implies they were unable to get electricity up at No.2 - that was their original target.

9. Fukushima 1 is the plant designation, #2 reactor at Fu1 is target.
I'm not sure it matters much at this point, the damage is done.

Still a lot of questions about the pools, the reactors themselves are probably going to remain somewhat contained, if they were going to to have a gross breach of containment it would likely have happened by now...

10. Did they mention when? They had said they couldn't do anything until
because of the radiation levels yet - the last I heard.
