1. Poppies are up here. After this cold winter, it was great to see them.
Although my sure sign is Giants' Spring Training. :)

2. Beautiful
I saw my first crocus here in the NYC area about a week ago. It was bright yellow and felt like a ray of sunshine after a dreary cold winter.

Doesn't it feel great to know that early spring is here?

3. Geckosfeet, these are beautiful! A much needed sight of hope after an
extremely long Winter. I've never seen an Arnold's Promise witch hazel before. Thanks!:hi:

6. Lovely! Nice shots!!
I got some shots of crocuses and the Arnolds Promise witch hazel last week. Mine are nowhere near as pretty as yours though.

I love the way they are growing up through the leaves.

10. I have long held that Feb. is a worthless month.
Every year it seems to get longer and longer.....

But March does hint at better things to come.

18. February is the best month to take a 2 week vacation to somewhere warm and sunny.

11. Heh. I've got crocuses, but they're still sleeping under six inches of snow.

19. We had some warm weather (relatively) here. Much of the snow has melted.
But it is still March - always a chance of a storm or two before winter gives up the ghost.

12. I planted perriwinkles up here and every year when it snows and
they are covered I expect them to die. But when the snow melts there they are, beautifully green and alive. Odd contrast to the rest of the ice and snow covered yard. Plant perriwinkles if you want to have a year round plant that is good to -30.

13. Cool. We can't wait for the snow to be gone and our bulbs to
pop up and bloom. Late April, probably, this year, in Minnesota.
