WSJ: "Congratulations to Wisconsin Republicans"
Source: Media Matters

"Congratulations to Wisconsin Republicans, who held together this week to pass their government union reforms despite unprecedented acting out by Democrats and their union allies. Three weeks ago we described this battle as a foretaste of Greece come to America, but maybe there's hope for taxpayers after all.

The good news is that Governor Scott Walker's reforms have been worth the fight on the policy merits. The conventional media wisdom is that Mr. Walker "overreached" by proposing limits on the ability of government unions to bargain collectively for benefits. But before he offered those proposals, Democrats and unions had refused to support his plan that public workers pay more for their pensions and health care. Only later did they concede that these changes were reasonable and will spare thousands of public workers from layoffs.

<...>

Mr. Walker and his allies have won a rare victory for taxpayers, one which should be a lesson for other states and Governors. The monopoly power of government unions can be broken."

I already explained that.

Going after unions as a monopoly only works if they are bigger then the corporate monopolies. And in you do go after public sector groups based on monopoly you would have to go after the military and intelligence that uses pr or any of those actions inside the USA, since they are a bigger monopoly then both private sector unions, and public unions. And the corporate consolidations are bigger and need broken up first, as posted many times. So that is wrong, as posted many times.

So that is spin or deception, since the corporate consolidations are a bigger problem, it is a taunt at best, and more likely deception.

On a side note, some fucker erased a post with a poem in it, and it is a pretty good poem.

Rain, wind, storms of night.
fire and ground fuel the fight.
bring the power, of that which is right.
Not what is said, but what is light.

Got another poem.

Wind and rain across the night
Fire and ground fuel the fight
Censor and spin to your delight
I don't believe in your blight,
nor in speech, but power of light

Blinded by the Light by Manfred Mann's Earth Band

You thieves and censors, spinning obvious concepts that make sense into political or economic benefit for yourself. Disgusting.

And I am still due beer and travel money and many experiences.

6. I don't believe this action by Walker and the repukes will stand up in court
Edited on Fri Mar-11-11 12:23 PM by groundloop
He spent three weeks telling television cameras that busting unions was most definitely related to Wisconsin's budget.

Suddenly the repuke state senators cram a bill through that busts unions, claiming they can do it because it's not budget related.

Then, the very next day, Walker tells the television cameras once again how it was necessary to bust unions in order to save the state from fiscal doom and gloom. Now, if that bogus bill has ANYTHING to do with saving the state from fiscal gloom and doom then it's budgetary in nature.

The idiot just admitted to dozens of television cameras that he commited perjury.
