...it is. From SEIU's website:

"SEIU is the second largest union of public service employees with more than 1 million local and state government workers, public school employees, bus drivers, and child care providers - including 80,000 early learning and child care professionals."

Granted, the freepers are wrong about everything else dealing with unions, but a significant portion of SEIU's membership is in fact public sector workers.

in fact, they are the second since AFSCME is the FIRST, there is NO THIRD.

They are far more concentrated in SERVICE INDUSTRIES such as nursing, janitors et al. Public Unions are a recent push and only because AFSCME started to get a little weak under the knees. The last three weeks may, or may not change the dynamics, If these guys used the AFSCME logo they'd get NO QUIBLE from me.

This is why they use SEIU
