The Case for WL: 100 Leaks in 100 Tweets
Edited on Mon Mar-07-11 01:11 PM by snot
by Kevin Gosztola at kgosztola (http://twitter.com/#!/kgosztola), 2011-03-11 starting ca. 6 a.m.; and there's a perhaps-easier-find-version at http://www.c-cyte.com/The_Case_for_WL-100_Leaks_in_100_Tweets.html .

E.g.,

73. Paraguayan president is a US agent http://bit.ly/fwz3It #cablegate h/t @MatrixWikiLeak

* * * * *

69. Impossible to prevent cartels from financing candidates in Mexico elections http://bit.ly/gAbjrl #cablegate

* * * * *

65. U.S. and China conspired to block reform on climate change at Copenhagen talks http://bit.ly/eu6l9o #cablegate

* * * * *

62. US played a role in a coup in Honduras that was illegal http://lat.ms/gnFJV5 #cablegate

61. US resentment toward unions uncovered in Mexico cable http://wlcentral.org/node/1351 #cablegate

60. Tunisia cables uncovered rampant corruption on Ben Ali or 'The Family' http://to.pbs.org/er6pSn #cablegate

59. US lied in cable about Michael Moore's film 'Sicko' being banned in Cuba http://bit.ly/hSrdgZ #cablegate

Etc.

4. Greg Mitchell Lists the Top 100 Wikileaks Cablegate Revelations
You know, the ones that the MSM ignored so they could say "nothing new here."

6. Paraguay, huh?
Doesn't the family of a couple of former presidents own some land there? Hmmmm.

8. Yes, the Bush family bought quite a bit of land there for some
reason. Not sure if they still own it.

12. There is a lot of water there. I can't imagine that they'd dump the land
so soon. Water will be in scarce supply.

I saw an article about it years ago.

7. Thank you. The leaks have revealed so much about our
foreign policy, but the American people will never see those revelations on the MSM. However, the rest of the world has seen them and the Tunisian people, eg, had their suspicions confirmed about their corrupt government when those cables were released.

No more lies. If they don't want to be 'embarrassed' then they might want to stop supporting dictators and stop lying to the American people.

The revelations in those cables, re Libya, Egypt, Tunisia and so many other oppressed nations whose leaders were allies of the U.S., Uzbekistan also, should cause outrage in this country.

Their immediate reaction was to hire firms to conjure up smears about the messenger to distract from the message. And they might have gotten away with that, had Anonymous not taken down HBGary's site and found their emails, proving beyond a doubt that the smears against Wikileaks in the U.S. were fabricated and that the U.S. DOJ was involved.

How can we return to the rule of law when the very agency that is supposed to uphold, involves itself in the cover-up?
