Natalie Portman must speak out
Edited on Fri Mar-04-11 07:10 PM by SoCalDem
and when she does, she needs to remind people of what a great father Huckleberry is, and what a great job he did with his dog-torturing son, and how he helped him get out a jam quite similar to one that sent Michael Vick to jail..

A few words from her on this issue will let millions of people in on this little tidbit..

He went out of his way to hurt her, so she at least could return the favor & make him start answering questions about the dog torturing at the hands of his BOY SCOUT son....

Mike Huckabee has quickly become the darling of the flat earth crowd, but his tenure as governor of Arkansas is getting more scrutiny. One issue likely to get attention is his handling of a sensitive family matter: allegations that one of his sons was involved in the hanging of a stray dog at a Boy Scoup campin 1998.

The incident led to the dismissal of David Huckabee, then 17, from his job as a counselor at Camp Pioneer in Hatfield, Ark. It also prompted the local prosecuting attorney — who was bombarded with complaints by a national animal rights group — to write a letter to the Arkansas state police seeking help investigating whether David and another teenager had violated state animal-cruelty laws. The state police never granted the request, and no charges were ever filed.

But John Bailey, then the director of Arkansas’s state police, tells NEWSWEEK that Governor Huckabee’s chief of staff and personal lawyer both leaned on him to write a letter officially denying the local prosecutor’s request. Bailey, a career officer who had been appointed chief by Huckabee’s Democratic predecessor, said he viewed the lawyer’s intervention as improper and terminated the conversation. Seven months later, he was called into Huckabee’s office and fired. “I’ve lost confidence in your ability to do your job,” Bailey says Huckabee told him.

One reason Huckabee cited was “I couldn’t get you to help me with my son when I had that problem,” according to Bailey. “Without question, was making a conscious attempt to keep the state police from investigating his son,” says I. C. Smith, the former FBI chief in Little Rock, who worked closely with Bailey and called him a “courageous” and “very solid” professional.

3. Didn't know anything about his son hanging a dog.

Is it me or are these people who claim to be Christians more like savages and heathens. Huckabee already has proven he's a pos with that so called 'misspoke' bullshit about Prsident Obaman, then Portman, and his son is a friggen nutjob.

:wtf:

If she does not, that's fine too, but she's been attacked for no good reason, and will probably respond somehow.. I just hope she brings up the dog killer and his wonderful daddy:evilgrin:

18. Why - it has nothing to do with anything
Edited on Fri Mar-04-11 08:22 PM by karynnj
She has nothing she has to defend herself on. She is a very lovely, talented actress, who seems to be extremely happy with her life. It is also kind of stupid, as she is engaged and clearly happy in her adult relationship with a very talented man. So, she really will likely not be a "single" mother - and if she were - I bet she would be an excellent mother.

5. It looks like they won't cooperate by nominating Palin
But maybe the dumbasses will force the issue by turning out big time for Huckleberry in NH, IA and SC.

Which would be the best possible outcome for Obama and the Democrats.

7. He is intentionally inflicting stress
on her. I hope she does not respond. In fact I hope she goes to France where her partner is from to have the baby away from horrible people like Huckabee. The should be a happy time for her.

10. If I was a former 1/2 term governor of Alaska, I would take his
words to be a condemnation of a certain unmarried parent female member of my own family.
C'mon quitter on Twitter - are you going to take that kind of insult?

13. All she needs to do is to quote him on
Bristol Palin's pregnancy. Then she should tell him to go Cheney himself.

Not everyone has the time to waste being incensed to the rantings of a madman like Huckabee.

16. Agreed & Well Said
If she wants to speak out I suppose she will, if not I suspect she won't.

In either case, her pregnancy is none of his damn business.

Anything more would be superfluous.

17. Oops, accidentally unrecc'd--argh.
Personally, I think she shouldn't give him the time of day and just live her life in peace. She's about to have a baby and doesn't need or deserve any stress from some has-been hillbilly governor.
