I'd prefer to be in the foster system than dead. You CAN survive in the foster system and come out mentally balanced, it does happen now and then. Dead means you have nothing. This kid's life was tragically cut short by these animals.

but it seems like so often when their is egregious abuse of a child involved there always seems to be a delinquent mother and her loser "boyfriend". In other words, no father.
