Obama's self laid traps
Edited on Mon Feb-28-11 12:12 PM by kratos00
It was great to hear the director of Inside Job speak truth to power last night. He said what almost all of the country inherently knows, the fat cats on Wall Street fucked the economy up beyond recognition for the majority while being handsomely rewarded for it.

This brings up Obama's kid gloves approach when it comes to the perpetrators, not only did he keep some of the architects of the scam in charge of the system ( geitner and bernanke) he also rapidly reversed course in his criticism of wall street and instead has spent the last few months sucking up to them.
This along with apparently no legal penalties levied against the robber barons gives the right wing argument (as silly as it is) that Obama is in bed with the fat cat elites (along with being a socialist/commie/Muslim/Kenyan/ etc...etc...) some basis, not that the right needs any.

So once again we see Obama fail to reject the policies of the past and consequently becoming defined by them.

Mr. Obama It's time tolstop trying to not piss off the powers that be (who will be funding your 2012 opponent anyhow) and instead start championing the middle/working class.

on edit (fuckin ipad turned geitner into :" feigned"

1. Quid pro quos have been made. We don't know what they are.
Bold promises have been broken, we don't know why that is.

But in general, we can surmise that we did not put up enough quid to get the quo.

7. In our Plutocracy the bribes are legal thats the problem
How can we ever compete with financial institutions for who 20 million dollars in campaign contributions is just their petty cash.

The ONLY way to fix the system is to have a leader run for president who's only issue is to pass a constitutional amendment that caps campaigns contributions for individuals and groups at a few hundred bucks, say 250 per campaign.

That is the only way to remove the Kochs and their ilk from running the system.
