Trust me, I got the gear, but 50 degrees for most locals IS cold, (nor are they ready for this) I worry for our homeless though.

1. Wow..
I'm just reminded of the first time I went to Virginia, back in January of '10. The weather dropped below 40 degrees, and people started breaking out the winter coats. I, meanwhile, wore a t-shirt and endured funny looks from all the freezing people.

2. In the past, we've demonstrated at 0 degrees
and 30 mph winds. You just hunker down and do what you've got to do.

50 does feel cold to Californians, though. You all take care.

4. I am breaking out my parka
and I got a toe that broke, so anything under 50 it hurts, no worries, get out the boots.

Hey the parka is red.

(And 25 years old, but rated for -20)

Yes I am laughing.

10. Fifty?!
60 - Californians put on sweaters (if they can find one in their wardrobe)

50 - Miami residents turn on the heat

19. And most locals do NOT have the winter coats
what people own would be good for your early fall, or spring.

13. It's all relative.
Last week when it briefly got to 50 here a couple of days, everybody was walking around without coats, and some people were wearing shorts. When you're used to much warmer temperatures, 50 feels cold. When you're used to real winter weather, 50 feels warm.
