To make sure the Army doesn't swing the revolution to the people, with the silent complicity of world leaders more concerned about the stability of oil prices than people's lives, Qaddafi has brought in more than 35,000 North African mercenaries specifically from Chad, Nigeria, Guinea and Darfur. There's a Facebook video of a captured mercenary from Chad (Youtube here). Captured mercenaries confessed they were paid between $12,000 - $30,000 each. Today pamphlet ads were found in Nigeria offering them $2000/day for their savage work.

Is Qaddafi the only one paying these mercenaries? Or are EU governments, with their long history of hiring mercenaries, chipping in? I demand to know.

I'm very lucky. I sold everything I owned and moved out of the US a few months ago. My life is totally dedicated to social justice now. Rearranging my schedule is too easy for words. And I'm very spoiled. Due to rescue work I do, I have help that comes a few times a week to improve this house, run errands, clean, whatever I ask. They're only too happy to do anything that helps Che out on the web.


TV blasting full time in the other room as they cheer for the Egyptians and other revolutionaries. 200,000+ of them were slaughtered during a civil war for US profit here. They're only too sympathetic and willing to help with my schedule.

Muhammad al-Senussi, who would be Libya's crown prince if the country still had a monarchy, has spoken out about the ongoing violence in the country from London.

Libya was a monarchy until Muammar Gaddafi took power in a military coup in 1969 and the exiled King Idris has long since died.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A 20-year-old Saudi student has been arrested in Texas in a bomb plot that may have targeted former President George W. Bush and nuclear plants, U.S. authorities said on Thursday.

Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari, who was admitted into the United States in 2008 on a student visa and was attending college in Lubbock, Texas, was arrested on Wednesday by FBI agents, the Justice Department said.

He was accused of terrorism charges involving the purchase of chemicals and equipment to make a bomb, with potential targets that included nuclear power plants. One of his e-mails included the Dallas address of Bush. Another cited three former U.S. military members who had been stationed at the Abu Ghraib prison, where Iraqis faced abuses by their American jailers.

Department officials said there was no evidence the suspect was part of a militant group and he apparently had been acting alone. U.S. officials have been concerned about individuals acting alone to commit attacks in the United States.

(Reuters) - The United States said on Thursday it supported expelling Libya from the United Nations Human Rights Council, saying the government had violated the rights of its people.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to fly to Geneva this weekend to attend a meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council and to consult other foreign ministers on how to try to stop the violence in Libya.

"We support expelling Libya from the Human Rights Council. The Libyan government has violated the rights of its people," said State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley, saying such a step would increase Libya's international isolation.

We ate dates and drank milk, but what we saw from the horrible state and the major massacre that Ghadafi’s forces have done against the children and citizens of Libya; killing and throwing their bodies in the streets, that was shameful.
