I read here on DU and elsewhere thoughts concerning the value or worthiness of public sector unions. The reason the right wants to get rid of public sector unions is because unions fund Democratic political campaigns. If you bust the unions you end this source of funding. So one way to look at this is the continuity of the public sector unions is in your interest if you are a Democrat. So the argument here is not whether private sector unions are good or bad but rather do you want help bust the unions and their support for Democrats. Another thought, the less unions that exist the harder it will be to grow the union movement.

3. Overall goal is weaken the Democratic Party so badly they
cannot win elections for the next 50 years. The Conservatives have a goal of 50 year rule. They destroyed Acorn which helped Democrats enroll new Democrats. and GOTV. One Organization which supported down, the next is the Unions.
