I'm in the process of reading Chris Hedges' "Death of the Liberal Class".
This guy is good---very good. Lucid, perceptive, intelligent and, of course, liberal (old definition).

He has organized, explained and focused much of the frustration and angst that has become part and parcel of being an active liberal in today's corporatist state.

Recommended.

1. Thanks for the Rec..........
It's on my Book List.....the one that is being crossed off a book at a time, but not nearly as fast as it's growing.

5. I consider Hedges an oracle.
Seminary trained, he provides a moral perspective akin to that of Bill Moyers. An American treasure.

And the comparison to Moyers is interesting food for thought.

8. I just finished it
It's flawed in a few spots, but an excellent read. A fine discussion of theatre and politics in the 30s and 40s, the Catholic Worker and Hedges' Rockford College speech.

I loved the book. Everything you say is true and you will see it gets even better.
