Is there a annual fundraiser that makes people as happy as the "give hearts" fundraiser?

I love reading posts from people who write about how surprised and happy they are, that someone gave them a heart.
It's especially fun trying to figure out WHICH DU'er thought enough of you to give you a heart.

Free Republic has a similar fundraising effort right? :rofl:

I have a few hearts left and I shall give them out until the fundraiser ends.
DU wins - successful fundraiser in a weeks time.
DU'ers win - "I got a heart! Thank you!"
I win - I may have just made someone smile and think, "wow, someone gave me a heart!"

DU is a happy place and I am a happy guy because of it.

4. I was a professional development officer for nonprofits for years

and I think this fundraiser is brilliant! I do wonder how the donation of hearts technically is achieved and how much time the admins have to give to it. But it has to be the nicest and most fun way to support an online political site that I have ever experienced. My hat is off to the DU admins!
