Save the multimillionaires

I try to stay abreast of social conditions in our country, but I am embarrassed to say that until the recent debates about tax cuts for the wealthy, I did not realize that multimillionaires were having such a hard time. But here it is the Christmas season and it takes an act of Congress to alleviate their suffering.

If we can save the whales and the spotted owls, surely we can save the multimillionaires. My thinking is a canned-goods drive. Even those of modest means can spare a can of spam or pork and beans. Isn't that what Christmas is all about? And when we gather around the dinner table with our families, let's take a moment and give a thought for those who are more fortunate than we.
