5. gee, if there aren't jobs here, how come our unemployment rate
is quite a bit lower than the national average? And yes, it's cold and snowy. Something I don't mind.

6. Indeed! Why IS the unemployment rate lower?
Here in NH the employment picture is truly dismal. And NH has always been more 'industrial' than VT. At least until Manchester turned into one big vacant brick building.
