Say what you want about the show, that deserves some love.

"Where is the Love?" from Wikipedia: In this anti-war pacifist anthem, The Black Eyed Peas lament on various worldwide problems. Many issues are discussed, which include but are not limited to terrorism, U.S. government hypocrisy, racism, war, intolerance, and greed. This song can be interpreted as an anthem against the War on Terror and the 2003 invasion of Iraq, since it was released shortly after the invasion began.

I couldn't understand a word they sang, so the joke is really on them if they...
were trying to make some kind of point.

8. Considering that their voices were over-miced so that you couldn't hear the music
how could you not understand the words? That's all you could hear. Even my 45 year old Cheap Trick-deafened ears could make them out.

You may not have understood them, but most people did, and Bush did, and since it was one of the few songs protesting the war in 03 when it came out, I'm sure he knew what it was about even if he couldn't.

18. You misoverestimate Bush
He likely wasn't paying attention to the half time show, and if he was, he was distracted by the light-up ice cube head people.

2. Yes... the children will sing songs...
And the minstrels will keep writing them until any hope of a positive legacy is eliminated.

6. I didn't watch the game, but that is a great song.
You are correct. It was anti-war/anti chimp. I have a kick ass version on my puter playlist and it sounds awesome really cranked up. I probably would have watched if I knew they would drag that one out to play.

Lyrics:

What's wrong with the world, mama
People livin' like they ain't got no mamas
I think the whole world addicted to the drama
Only attracted to things that'll bring you trauma
Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin'
In the USA, the big CIA
The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate then you're bound to get irate, yeah
Madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
Man, you gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love, y'all, y'all

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Father, Father, Father help us
Send us some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love
The love, the love

It just ain't the same, always unchanged
New days are strange, is the world insane
If love and peace is so strong
Why are there pieces of love that don't belong
Nations droppin' bombs
Chemical gasses fillin' lungs of little ones
With ongoin' sufferin' as the youth die young
So ask yourself is the lovin' really gone
So I could ask myself really what is goin' wrong
In this world that we livin' in people keep on givin'
in
Makin' wrong decisions, only visions of them dividends
Not respectin' each other, deny thy brother
A war is goin' on but the reason's undercover
The truth is kept secret, it's swept under the rug
If you never know truth then you never know love
Where's the love, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the truth, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the love, y'all

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Father, Father, Father help us
Send us some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love
The love, the love

I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
As I'm gettin' older, y'all, people gets colder
Most of us only care about money makin'
Selfishness got us followin' our wrong direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images is the main criteria
Infecting the young minds faster than bacteria
Kids wanna act like what they see in the cinema
Yo', whatever happened to the values of humanity
Whatever happened to the fairness in equality
Instead in spreading love we spreading animosity
Lack of understanding, leading lives away from unity
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' under
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' down
There's no wonder why sometimes I'm feelin' under
Gotta keep my faith alive till love is found

People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

Father, Father, Father help us
Send us some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)

Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)

12. The show was great, but the sound was mixed badly, so all you heard were their voices
and the music faded into the background, so it didn't sound right. Other than that, it was a good show, even if the "Get off my lawn" crowd didn't like it.

And Fergie screwed up on "Sweet Child of Mine," probably because she was trying to shout it instead of sing it, and as far as I know it's not a song she normally does in concert. Not her finest moment.

14. She sounded like a cat coughing up a hairball. And Slash sucked too and thats his signature song.

I think the Black Eyed Peas were hungover and Slash was probably having the DT's.

9. they redid the lyrics on the small snippet of the song that they did sing
not sure what all the new lyrics were, but I'm pretty sure "Obama" wasn't in the original version

“Obama, let’s get these kids educated / Create jobs so the country stays stimulated”

Ironically enough, just before asking President Obama to improve the country’s education system, their performance included a short rendition of “Let’s Get It Started” (originally titled “Let’s Get Retarded”) in which they called on the audience to “get stupid.”

their "A game". Honestly we just flipped over to the puppy bowl.
